EXCITING NEWS FOR Sam Lambert Racing - I have recently heard the news I have been granted a wildcard in the WORLD Super Bike round here at Phillip Island Feb 21st-22nd. This is an awesome opportunity and I cant wait to mix it with the international riders. www.ntnews.com.au/.../top.../story-fnk4won9-1227193107516
I have recently had surgery on my leg to fix a broken bone and been off the bike for a little while but I took her out to Morgan Park (Qld) end of October and Eastern Creek (NSW) early November and both the bike and my leg performed great. I finished in 3rd position at Eastern Creek and 2nd at Morgan Park. I am looking forward to next year. We have decided to do the ASBK series. There are 5 rounds (you can find these on my website) and we are also going to enter for a wildcard ride in the World Superbike round in February. Entries are limited and we wont find out if we were successful for a while but here hoping. :) For more updates and regular postings visit my facebook page. Cheers Sammy #17
Phillip Island put on great weather today for another session of great racing. I was really excited to get out there today to see what I could do on a dry warmish track. Didn't get off to a great start (see my wheelie in the photo) and went from 4th back to 10th... then I had to fight my way back through the pack to the front. On the way the Suzuki in front of me blew an engine so I lost vision for a bit with all the smoke and then there was the risk of oil on the track. By this time the 4 guys at the front were too far ahead to catch (only a 10 lap race) and we are still working to find the best setting for the bike on this track. Finished 5th again so overall not a bad weekend. First super sport race for me at the World super bike weekend - got to be happy with that...
